The Tunnel Device

This was my senior Capstone project. Our group won 2nd place at the competition and were awarded $80 each. The Tunnel Device looked to make use of existing technology known as Power-line Communication (PLC) where data is transferred through powerlines as opposed to the Internet. After researching the benefits of PLC and the various obstacles preventing widespread implementation, our device looked to bridge the gap between PLC and a user. The Tunnel Device served to make PLC as simple as plug-and-play for the user, providing a secure, high-speed, and inexpensive alternative to other options. Together we developed a prototype with my main responsibilities including hardware testing, circuit design, circuit simulation, and PCB debugging.
